People who really hang out with me know that I live in work out clothes. Even when I’m not dancing or doing yoga, I wear leggings and sports bra. Going on a plane? Yep. Working from home? Yep. They are just so functional. I’ve researched and tried many different fitness clothing brands, here are 10 labels that I am in love with. Not only do these companies produce high-quality products, their designs are also very eye-catching. Because when I look cute, I feel great, and I am inspired to workout. 😛

Lululemon
While Lululemon is pricey, its quality is indisputable. I have worn the same pair of Lulu pants for years and they are still in good shape. That is what makes this brand a worthy investment. I love how breathable and stretchy the material is. You feel like it is a part of your skin when you move. Check out the Align collection with lightweight yoga pants that goes up to size 20.

Fabletics
Co-founded by Kate Hudson, Fabletics is an online subscription-based activewear brand. Their clothes are amazingly affordable. As in, you can get 2 pairs of leggings for $24 USD as a new member. The designs are super fun and fashion-forward. Fabletics is bold with colors, prints, cutouts, and mesh elements. My favorite part is that many of their clothes, both pants and sports bras, have pockets.
I own two sets from Fabletics and both of them are beautiful. When I wore them during my Yoga teacher training in India, I got compliments all the time.

Popflex Active was created by Cassy Ho, my favourite fitness Youtuber. I have been following Cassey’s pilates workouts for years. When she came out with a clothing line, I was so excited. Her aesthetic is just like her personality, feminine and strong. She is always producing creative themes like Constellation and Terrain. Also check out the Popflex accessories. Their yoga mats are made of vegan suede and super dreamy.

Free People
Free People is more well known as an everyday wear brand, but their underrated fitness wear line also deserves some attention. Millennials loves this brand because it represents individuality and adventurousness. This spirit definitely translates into their yoga and workout clothes as well. From flowy harem pants to comfortable onesies, Free People wants you to be exactly what their name says. Many of their pieces can be worn for both the studio and the street. Check out their Black Diamond leggings, which features figure-flattering seams and squat-proof shape hold.
Sweaty Betty
More and more fitness clothing brands are recognizing the importance of being sustainable. Sweaty Betty is one of them. This London born brand has been around for more than 20 years. Their products are now made with eco-friendly material such as recycled cotton saved from landfills, biodegradable merino wool sourced from traceable farms, and water saving bamboo grown without pesticides. The brand is committed to making more eco-conscious choices at every level of the business. I definitely Stan a green company. Couple their values with their signature bum sculpting leggings, it is hard to not love Sweaty Betty. I haven’t even mentioned the fact that most of their leggings have pockets. Every season, the brand comes out with new trendy colours and patterns. Make sure to sign up for their newsletter to get 15% off your first order.
Girlfriend Collective
Girlfriend Collective is another planet-friendly brand. The company is dedicated to being 100% transparent. You can find detailed information about how the products are made on their website. They use materials such as recycled post-consumer water bottles and recycled fishing nets, things that would otherwise be clogging up landfills and polluting the earth. Even their packaging is completely recycled and recyclable. So you can wear the apparel knowing that you are doing right by the earth. The brand also champions body inclusivity and supports mothers with their maternity line.
GC is praised for its comfort and support. The pieces are usually in solid colors with classic cuts. Its aesthetic is more modest comparing to some of the other gym wear brands mentioned in this article. Currently on my wish list: GC’s monochromatic sweatsuit.

Gym clothing is often solid dark colored and simple, which is fine for the most part. But sometimes I want to feel more inspired, especially when I do dance and yoga. I find that when I wear gym clothes with stylish details, I feel happier and more motivated to reach my fitness goals of the day. I am also loving the athleisure trend that makes it cool to rock workout gear whenever and wherever. It sure makes traveling a lot more comfortable.
I hope you like these fitness clothing brand recommendations. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments!
